Lappa Apartments is located in the idyllic, picturesque Argyroupolis village, on the island of Crete.

The original building was built in 1504 and is outfitted regularly for all the modern comforts. Guests have all the amenities required for a home-away-from-home getaway, such as a fridge, kitchenware, and a cooktop for self-catering. Each room is beautifully designed. While some rooms are outfitted with beautiful balconies peering over the village and a view of the Mediterranean sea, all rooms have access to the Jacuzzi, rooftop sun terrace, and rooftop garden.

Lappa Apartments is located 200 yards from the center of Argyroupolis which is 22 km from Rethymno Town. Georgioupolis is also 16 km from the property. The property is a comfortable 10-minute walk from The Church of the Holy Five Virgins and a 15-minute walk from Argyroupoli Springs where guests can relax and unwind.

This idyllic destination also features a small shop for island-friendly souvenirs and guided tours in the area for hiking, snorkeling, surfing, and exploring the many activities available on the island.

The current Argyroupolis village is located on the site which was once the ancient city of Lappa. It was founded by Agamemnon, the king of Mycenae, son of King Atreus and Queen Aerope.

Argyroupolis village boasts many ancient mansions and homes which have been traced back to the Late Geometric period. Many homes and buildings in Argyroupolis still have their bones from the 1500s such as the Lappa Apartments.

Argyroupoli is full of wonderful nature. It has an abundance of springs feed fountains and wells and waterfalls and nourish many mighty plain trees. Overlooking the Mediterranean sea, it is nestled between mountains and lush vegetation.

Just 5 kilometers away from Argyroupolis is Episcopi beach and the river Mouleas that runs right into the beach. Preveli is also one of the most spectacular beaches in Crete with its beautiful view and access to the Triopetra.

The building was first build in 1504 from the Venetians and it is hundreds of years in this family. 35 years ago, it was rebuild in the original architecture. Over the years we try to give each room an individual style, individual just as you are.

We try to avoid the use of single-use plastic in the hotel to protect the environment. Instead of shampoo bottles we provide for you handmade soaps from best Greek olive oil, and pure essential oils, they are good for body, face and hands. The white soaps are shampoo bars. *

The Hotels water is heated by the sun, and we are working on becoming as green as possible.
